The San Quentin Village Association (SQVA) is the neighborhood association for San Quentin Village, a small residential community on the shore of San Francisco Bay in Marin County, California.
The Association represents the interests of San Quentin Village in matters involving San Quentin Rehabilitation Center, Marin County, and the State of California. It also provides a forum for residents to share information, discuss issues affecting the neighborhood, and work together on matters of community interest.
SQVA helps keep residents informed about local events, public agencies, neighborhood concerns, and other matters affecting San Quentin Village.
Meetings
The SQVA Board meets quarterly. One of these meetings is the Association’s Annual Meeting, when all members are invited to attend and participate. The other three quarterly meetings are primarily meetings of the Board, although non-board members occasionally attend.
Meeting minutes and Association documents are available on the Meetings & Documents page.
San Quentin Village
San Quentin Village is a small and distinctive Marin County community with a history closely connected to San Francisco Bay. The settlement predates much of the surrounding development and has long been associated with transportation across the Bay, including the former San Quentin ferry landing and early rail service.
Today, the Village remains a small residential neighborhood between the Bay, the Richmond–San Rafael Bridge, and San Quentin Rehabilitation Center.
